Conference programme

Manufacturer Day opened the Elektro 2023 conference programme. The Switch to Ours trend zone was dedicated to import substitution and localisation of production in the electrical industry, where samples of domestic equipment, which are analogues of sub-sanctioned electrical equipment, and import substitution solutions were demonstrated.

The discussion on Risks and Opportunities for Domestic Production in the Current Environment was organised by the SME Corporation. The participants told about the main activities of the federal SME support institution, the programmes implemented by the Corporation, and about work with customers.

At the conference on Promising Projects and Directions for the Development of Electrical Machinery and Insulating Materials in the Context of Today’s Challenges the attendees discussed various aspects of import substitution as well as innovation activities of Russian participants in the market for electrical machinery and insulating materials.

The industry experts took part in the networking event devoted to Out-of-the-Box Certification Solutions: New Opportunities for the Electrical Business.

The conference programme of the first day ended with an award ceremony for the winners in the 10th edition of the ElektroReklama 2023 competition. More than 100 companies from all over the country working in the electrical, lighting, energy and cable sectors took part in the event. The competitors’ projects were submitted in eight categories.

ERSO Holding won the first prize in the Printed Products category. In addition, the holding managed to win the highest award of the competition – the Grand Prix, thus becoming the absolute winner of ElektroReklama 2023.

The key event of Customer Day was the Purchasing Centre. Representatives of backbone companies, such as Inter RAO, Sibgenco (Siberian Generation Company), Transenergo – RZD subsidiary, Lukoil-Energoseti, Atomenergoremont, Zarubezhneft, and many others were made suggestions from manufacturers of electrical products.

The test session on Effective Purchases aroused keen interest. According to the speakers, the role of procurement as an overall supply chain is very important. The trends in top managers’ expectations from procurement remain unchanged. These are cost reduction, process simplification, time saving, flexibility, innovation, responsiveness, helping the company grow revenue, risk reduction and social responsibility. The trends that have emerged in the market are aimed at replacing specific items that limits sourcing opportunities.

The conference presentations on Technological Independence in the New Realities and Power Supply for Industrial, Civil and Residential Facilities attracted the attention of the audience.

Speed dating between customers and suppliers took place within the Elektro conference programme.

The best customers of the electrical equipment presented by the exhibitors became winners of the Purchasing Leader. ELEKTRO. They were recognised with awards.

The conference programme rounded off with Engineer Day that included a number of events dedicated to the design of different types of electrical equipment.

The Got Contact! quest made it possible to get acquainted with the latest electrical installation products and tools presented at Elektro. The participants were able to try out equipment from leading manufacturing companies, talk to their representatives, and receive valuable prizes as a bonus.

The hackathon on Choosing the Best Equipment for an Electrical Project in the Context of a Major Reorientation of the Russian Market attracted the attendees’ attention. The presentations focused on successful localisation of world-class production in Russia. According to Andrey Murylev, head of Systeme Electric’s project institute team, the company manufactures its own equipment from Russian raw materials under the Systeme Electric brand. The company sells about 300 million electric installation products per year. As part of Systeme Electric, there is the Innovation Centre, which develops, integrates SCADA systems, various software and digital twins for automation of building engineering systems, data centres, and various industrial production facilities.

The participants in the technical session on Digital Design: Software Solutions for Engineering Tasks, dedicated to modern domestic technologies of information design of power supply systems, told about work with BIM technology.

Interesting workshops of practical installation of electrical equipment in private houses attracted a large audience.

The participants noted that exhibition was an interesting industry event that proved its viability. Elektro 2023 not only showed new equipment and success of the domestic electrical industry, but also gave companies the opportunity to create new technological solutions and implement the most innovative ideas.
