18 / 08 / 2009

On June 8 though 11, 2009 Expocentre Fairgrounds hosted one of the main industry shows in Russia – the 18th Edition of the Elektro International Exhibition for Electrical Equipment for Power Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Electronics, Energy- and Resource-Saving Technologies; Household Electric Appliances took place at the Expocentre Fairgrounds.  The event was organized by Expocentre with the support from the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade, Standartelektro OAO and under the auspices of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation and the Moscow Government.

Over its almost forty-year history, the Elektro exhibition has become a significant event for professionals of the global electric industry.

The high level of the exhibition is confirmed by the labels of UFI – the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry and RUEF – the Russian Union of Exhibitions and Fairs. Electrical engineering is one of the science intensive fields that has considerable influence on the scientific and technological advance in practically all branches of the economy. The Elektro Exhibition being a show of achievements in the electrotechnical industry plays an important part in the introduction of high-technologies on the domestic market and contributes significantly to the Russian economy transition to the innovation way of development.

Modern electrical equipment, up-to-date power-saving technologies and materials, next-generation power devices, innovative projects and developments were presented by  411 exhibitors from 26 countries: Austria, Belarus, Bulgaria, China, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, India, Italy, Kazakhstan, Lithuania, Moldova, Spain,   Poland, Portugal, Republic of Korea, Russia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Switzerland, Turkey, Ukraine and Uzbekistan.

The national expositions of China, Germany, Italy, Spain, Republic of Korea, Russia, Slovakia, and the Czech Republic were presented at the Exhibition.

Major global electrotechnical market players such as AEG Pîwer Solutions  (Germany), Elko (the Czech Republic), Fontini (Spain), Lovato Electric  (Italy), Orbis (Spain), Hyosung Corporation (Republic of Korea), Rittal (Germany) and others took  part in the event.

Over 50% of the exposition was represented by Russian companies from all over Russia. They included Interelektrokomplekt OOO, MTD Kamkabel, Kashinskiy Zavod Elektroapparatury OAO, Korneevskiy Plant of Low-Tension Instrumentation OAO, REGR-IS OOO, Samara Cable Company ZAO, Itc-Electronics and many others.

The Russian electrotechnical industry is looking into the future with confidence. This is confirmed by the results of Electro’2009.  During four working days the exhibition was attended by over 10,000 professional visitors. The total exhibition space amounted to over 21,400 sq.m

The industry development prospects and other issues were discussed at seminars, round-tables and other accompanying business-related events.

Within Elektro’2009, the Renewable and Small Power Engineering Conference took place.

During the Conference issues of the renewable and small power engineering including ones of the solar radiation efficiency, domestic bioenergetics development, small hydro-power engineering resources and many other subjects were thoroughly debated. A regional programme on renewable energy application in the Murmansk Region and a programme on the energy-saving technology    learning in the Volgograd GSHA were presented.

Exclusive opportunities for efficient business contacts, acquaintance with innovations and exchange of experience were given during seminars on Electric Drive and Power Electronics in Energy-Saving Technologies and Computer-Aided Manufacturing, and on the electrical energy control problems, as well as  and the Technological rRgulations of the Preventive Fire-Fighting Requirements Conference.

The last event held as part of the programme of business related events at Elektro’2009 was the International Symposium named Energy Efficiency – Innovations – Standardization.

The Symposium was organized by DKE – the German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies, ZVEI – the German Electrical Industry Central Association, and the RSPP Committee for Control, Standardization and Conformance Evaluation.

The Best Enterprise of the 21st century competition took place during the exhibition.

Today, exhibitions become especially important for most companies and enterprises because of the complicated economic environment. Enterprises of the country power and electrical industries badly need appropriate equipment. Participation in professional events gives great opportunities for promotion of their products, demonstration of their reliability and strong position on the market.  The exhibition as a marketing tool allows presenting a company and its product, and offers an opportunity to communicate personally with potential equipment buyers.

Professionals of the electrical industry confirm that Elektro – the largest industry exhibition – is a powerful communication channel within the market.

Professionals can get the best update on the global electrical industry and prospects of the Russian electrical market thanks to all the topics covered by the exhibition and participation of large international companies in it.

We remind you that Expocentre holds not only the Elektro Exhibition that is devoted to the electrical industry but the ElektroTechnoExpo Exhibition for electrical equipment, energy-saving technologies and innovation developments as well.

Organizers of ElektroTechnoExpo and Elektro will be glad to welcome participants and visitors to ElektroTechnoExpo2009, the 8th International Exhibition held on November 10-13, 2009, and Elektro’2010, the 19th International Exhibition for Electrical Equipment for Power Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Electronics, Energy- and Resource-Saving Technologies; Household Electric Appliances held on June 7-10, 2010 at Expocentre Fairgrounds.
