June 8-11, 2009, Expocentre organizes Elektro’2009, the 18th International Exhibition for Electrical Equipment for Power Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Electronics, Energy and Resource Saving Technologies, and Household Electrical Appliances in Pavilions No. 2, 8 and open-air sites of Expocentre Fairgrounds. The event is held with the assistance of Standartelektro, support from the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, and under the auspices of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation and the Moscow Government.

During 37 years of its lifetime, Elektro has always been one of the leading European electrotechnical exhibitions.

The high international status of the event is confirmed by not only the participation of leading electrical equipment and electronic manufacturers but also by the labels of UFI – the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry and RUEF – the Russian Union of Exhibitions and Fairs.

The Exhibition space will exceed 15 000 sq m.

450 companies from 26 countries will participate in Elektro’2009: Austria, Belarus, Bulgaria, China, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, India, Italy, Kazakhstan, Lithuania, Moldova, Poland, Portugal, Republic of Korea, Russia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Switzerland, Turkey, Ukraine and Uzbekistan.

The following national expositions and participation of national professional associations confirm high international status of Elektro: AFME (Spain), ZVEI (Germany), ICE (Italy), CCPIT (China), the Polish and Russian Chamber of Commerce, the Hyosung Corporation (Republic of Korea), the Slovakia Ministry of Economy, the Czech Ministry of Industry and Commerce, Interelectro, Interelectromash (Russia).

Such major global electrotechnical companies as EG Pîwer Solutions (Germany), Elko (the Czech Republic), Fontini (Spain), Lovato Electric (Italy), Orbis (Spain), Hyosung Corporation (Republic of Korea), Rittal (Germany), and other ones will participate in the event.

The Elektro Exhibition makes a significant contribution to the Russian power industry development and as a result helps to supply Russian consumers with qualitative electric power.

More than 50% of the exposition will consist of Russian companies from all over the country: Interelektrokomplekt ÎÎÎ, MTD Kamkabel, Kashinskiy Zavod Elektroapparatury OAO, Korenevskiy Plant of Low-Tension Instrumentation OAO, Moeller Electric OOO, REGR-IS OOO, Samara Cable Company ZAO, Siemens OOO, Itc-Electronics and many other ones.
