From June 6 to 9, 2016 Expocentre Fairgrounds (Pavilions No.8 and Forum) hosts the 25th Anniversary International Exhibition for Electrical Equipment, Lighting Engineering, and Building Automation Elektro 2016.

The Elektro 2016 project is carried out by Expocentre AO and supported by the State Duma Committee on Science and High Technology. The show runs under the auspices of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Elektro is a recognized networking platform for global and Russian industry leaders. This year the best accomplishments will be shown by 310 companies from 17 countries: Austria, Belarus, China, France, Germany, India, Italy, Kazakhstan, Moldova, Poland, Russia, South Korea, Serbia, Spain, Switzerland, the USA.

Chinese, German and Spanish companies arrange their national pavilions with the support of the leading foreign associations and organizations such as CCPIT – the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, AFME – the Spanish Association of Electrical Equipment, ZVEI – the Electrical and Electronic Manufacturers’ Association.

This year the participants in the trade show will be international companies such as Hubers, Isovolta, Ilme, RPS, Klemsan, Onka, VonRoll, Phoenix Contact, Weidmuller, EAE, WAGO, and others.

Russia will be presented by 200 enterprises and trade companies, among them IEK, Kaskad-Energoset, KLM Group, Korenevo Plant of Low Voltage Equipment, KEAZ, MEL, TDM Electric, New Engineering Solutions, RZKK, Sverdlovsk Works of Current Transformers, and many others. Altogether, 150 Russian manufacturers of equipment.

Elektro occupies the exhibition area of 15,000 sq m. It will feature the following product sectors: Electric Equipment; Electric Power Engineering; Energy Saving. Innovations; Cables, Wires, Fittings; and Building Automation. The Lighting Engineering Salon has shown an upward trade. This year the participants in the Salon are companies which demonstrate engineering solutions for the lighting industry.

The Expocentre for Counterfeit-Free Exhibitions project will be carried out at Elektro 2016. The project is aimed to reduce the number of counterfeit products displayed at exhibitions and unauthorized copying of new developments.

Elektro is traditionally accompanied by an extensive event program. Its key event is the First Industry Championship ‘WorldSkills Russia’ in the Electric Installation Work category for young specialists. Its aim is to enhance the prestige of blue-collar jobs and develop vocational education. The event is organized by the WorldSkills Union and IEK Group, one of Russia’s largest producers of electrical engineering equipment, and supported by Expocentre AO.

The participants in the Championship are specialists of Russia’s major industrial enterprises. For four days the participants will connect motor drive circuits, show their skills in lighting control and electrical equipment programming using DALI data protocol.

The Championship is among other platforms aimed at practical training of the WorldSkill Russian team in the electric installation work category. Along with young specialists, there will participate college students who are potential members of the WorldSkills Russia team.

The Championship starts in Pavilion No.8 (Hall 2) on June, 6 at 12.30.

The event program features conventions, conferences, forums, seminars, round tables, presentations, and workshops.

The official award ceremony for the winners in the Electroreklama 2016 Advertising Competition will be a remarkable event.

 The Elektro official opening will be on June, 6 at 12.00 in Pavilion No.8 (Hall).
