On 8 June, 2009, the 18th Elektro International Exhibition, showcasing Russian and international achievements in electric engineering, opened its doors to the visitors at Expocentre Fairgrounds.
Nearly 450 exhibitors from 26 countries are putting on display modern electrical equipment, advanced energy-efficient technology and materials, next-generation power plants, innovations and projects essential for the development of the Russian economy. Among the exhibitors are 240 Russian leading companies demonstrating the potential of the Russian electrical engineering industry.
Over nearly forty years, the Elektro International Exhibition has been a major event for the global electrical engineering market. Its high reputation is confirmed by the labels of UFI – the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry and RUEF – the Russian Union of Exhibitions and Fairs. Electrical engineering is one of the high-technology sectors that is driving the development of the whole industry. As an event demonstrating the latest achievements in electrical engineering the Elektro exhibition plays an important role in promoting cutting edge technology to the Russian market and makes a significant contribution to building the innovative economy in Russia.
