The International Electric Power Forum Rugrids-Electro. Russian Grids. New Opportunities opened at Expocentre Fairgrounds on October, 20. The event is organized by Rosseti PAO and Expocentre ZAO, supported by the Russian Ministry of Industry.

The Forum program traditionally features several dozens of interactive events with participation of heads of ministries and departments, lawmakers, heads of corporations and electric power companies.

The Forum 2015 program participants will discuss the relevant issues of the industry development in terms of geo-economic challenges and creation of new models of international partnerships. The Forum’s key plenary session that takes place on October, 21 is devoted to implementation of electric power megaprojects by forming modernized technology alliances.

The round table on Electromobility: Incentive Cannot be Stopped will take place on October, 22. Representatives of the Moscow City Government, Rosseti PAO, and the world’s leading manufacturers of electric cars and charging infrastructure for e-transport will discuss the most important issues of the industry and share their plans for development of the e-transport market up to 2018. The Forum visitors will have a unique opportunity to see the latest models of electric cars and take a test drive.

Rugrids-Electro features the largest trade show on the total area of 15,000 sq m.

The exhibition participants are major electric power companies: manufacturers of high tech equipment, Russian and international designers of integrated control systems, innovative companies, and startups.

The visitors and participants in Rugrids-Electro will be shown scientific and technological potential of the industry, Russian and foreign advanced achievements, equipment, solutions, innovative developments, and technologies in the electric power industry.

Among the exhibitors there are such companies as ABB, General Electric, Siemens, PLC Technology, EZOIS, Electroshield Samara Group, Togliatti Transformator, ProSoft Systems, IEK Group, Minsk Electrotechnical Plant named after I.V. Kozlov, Streamer, and United Energy Company. The Forum partners are Energostroy-M.N., Energomera, SAP, Hitachi, Schneider Electric, Tavrida Electric, Tecon Group, Energocontract Group, and many others.

One of the Forum key topics is to provide innovation-based upgrading of the Russian electric power enterprises. This topic was discussed at the debate on Electric Power Industry in Russia: National Technological Pattern or ‘A Mirror’ of the Global Development Trends that opened the Forum.

Great attention is paid to the role of Russian grids in globalization of the power market and smart energy development. On the last day of the Forum there will be the plenary session on EnergyNet. The Future of Smart Energy in Russia.

The Forum business program reflects both key macroeconomic trends: creation of priority development areas, improving mechanisms of special economic regimes, import substitution, enhancing interaction between small, medium and large businesses and factors ensuring innovation-based industry development: energy efficiency and resource saving, e-transport promotion, and charging infrastructure development.
