Elektro celebrates 50 year anniversary
Today, EXPOCENTRE Fairgrounds welcomed the start of the 30th anniversary edition of the International Exhibition for Electrical Equipment, Lighting Engineering, Building Automation – Elektro 2022. You could say the show has a double anniversary this year, since the first Elektro was held in 1972 exactly 50 years ago. It is organised by EXPOCENTRE AO and is held under auspices of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
This year Elektro welcomes more than 150 companies from 8 countries (Austria, Belarus, China, Germany, Moldova, Russia, Spain, and Turkiye).
About 130 exhibiting companies are Russian. Regional pavilions are arranged by the Chuvash Republic, the Republic of Tatarstan, and Irkutsk, Kaluga and Vladimir oblasts.
The opening ceremony of the anniversary edition was a spectacular event for its participants and attendees. The exhibitors were united by a single neon chain of 150 light elements. It became a symbol of successful networking at Elektro to achieve maximum commercial results in the show and its conference programme. The conclusion of the opening ceremony was a colourful performance by a gymnast in a glass.
The show will be closed on June 9.
