Elektro 2026 has opened its doors
The 34th edition of the International Exhibition for Electrical Equipment, Lighting Engineering, Building Automation – Elektro 2026 has opened at Crocus Expo, Moscow. The show is organised by EXPOCENTRE AO with the support of the Russian Ministry of Energy and the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade, and under the auspices of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The show occupies an area of more than 14,500 sq. m to demonstrate equipment for generation, transmission and distribution of electric power, uninterruptible power supply systems, frequency converters, components for industrial automation, cable and wire products, and lighting solutions.
This year, 350 companies from 6 countries (Russia, Belarus, China, India, Kazakhstan, and Turkiye) are taking part in Electro. China and Turkiye arrange national pavilions. There are 178 Russian exhibitors who showcase cable and wire products, cable-carrying systems, power transformers, complete switchgear, low-voltage complete devices of medium-voltage, relay protection and automation systems, electrical installation products, and some categories of low-voltage equipment.
The central event of this year’s conference programme is the 3rd Business Forum on Electrical Engineering. New Energy of Development. The participants will discuss the most relevant issues of the industry such as government procurement and export in the localization paradigm, financial and personnel issues, overcoming logistical difficulties, and much more.
The programme will also include the Expert Day of Electrical Equipment for Distribution Networks and Power Supply of Facilities. There will be three thematic blocks: trends and issues of designing electric grids using digital twins, BIM models, intelligent control systems, and surge protection; Made in Russia: the level of equipment localization and discussion about the potential technological leadership of domestic manufacturers; and biodynamic lighting, prospects for abandoning cloud solutions and using Russian-made controllers.
Elektro 2026 is open until 10 June.
