Post Show Report Elektro 2019

The 28^th International Exhibition for Electrical Equipment, Lighting Engineering and Building Automation

Elektro 2019 ran along with the Neftegaz 2019 International Exhibition for Equipment and Technologies for the Oil and Gas Industry and the National Oil and Gas Forum. These projects created Russia's largest exhibition of equipment for power grid and the fuel and energy sectors and attracted even more professional visitors.

Once again Elektro has proven its status of an important trade show of Russia and neighbouring countries in electrical engineering. The participants showcased electrical equipment for power industry, construction, transportation, urban infrastructure as well as innovative projects and developments.

At the end of the opening ceremony there was an impressive theatrical performance symbolizing energy supply to the exhibition platform. After the Elektro opening there was a ceremony of cancellation of the artistically marked mailing envelope devoted to Expocentre's 60th anniversary made by the Federal Agency.

Cables. Wires. Fittings Salon.  The participants were major manufacturers and suppliers of cabling and wiring products and fittings, such as Chuvashkabel Factory, Saranskkabel, Ryazan Plant of Cable Structures, Svelen, Dehn Rus, Mikhnevo Plant of Electroitems, Tekfor, Fato Electric, Helukabel Russia, plus many others.

Supporting Events

Manufacturer Day

• ElectroCable Russian Congress 2019 (Day 1) organised by the Prioritet Business Communications Agency included sessions, section meetings, and workshops. The participants discussed implementation of breakthrough technologies in the cable industry, application of new materials, modernisation of power grinds, etc.
• ElectroMARKET platform featured TechnoShow demonstrating the latest electrotechnical solutions. Manufacturing companies had an opportunity to draw attention of the target visitors to the products developed or brought to the Russian market in the past 12 months and fully showcase their accomplishments to professionals from different sectors.
• ElectroTALK platform featured the discussion on Market of Electrical Equipment: Points of Growth and round table on The Future of Electrical Equipment: Focus on Intelligence.

Engineer Day

• ElectroCable Russian Congress 2019 (Day 2). The participants discussed technical solutions when designing cable lines and choosing optimal configuration during electric installation. The test drive allowed learning about functionality of the programs for electrical engineering. Exhibiting companies held conferences, workshops, and presentations of technological solutions.

Customer Day

• ElectroCable Russian Congress 2019 (Day 3) finished its work. On the eve of the firemen professional day the attendees discussed the issues concerning fire safety. The sessions were devoted to safety of electricity supply systems, specifics of choosing electrical equipment, improvement of operational reliability of electrical and fire safety of electric power systems, and application of cable products ensuring fire safety.
• Business breakfast on Specifics of Choosing Electrical Equipment was held on the ElectroTALK platform
• Purchasing Centre at ElectroMARKET platform

Youth Day

All events were devoted to education and training of future specialists for electrical companies. There were held competitions among students from higher and specialised secondary educational establishments of different regions of Russia training specialists for electric power engineering.

Future specialists demonstrated their knowledge and skills doing the tasks of the ElectroGeek trivia game and the Tame Electro quest, as well as in the Team presentations "Contact is Made!"

• Round table on Forward-Looking Training in the Environment of Energy Sector Modernisation. The participants told how to ensure quality of training and promotion of a positive image of electrical workers
• Young specialists met top managers of major companies who told the stories of their success and answered all questions.
• Innovation Summit Moscow organised by the Elektro 2019 Innovation Partner Schneider Electric, a world-known company in energy management and automation. The key topic of the Summit featuring more than 100 events was Powering the Digital Economy. The showcase of Schneider Electric occupied over 3,000 sq m and was devoted to integrated solutions bringing together energy management, automation, and software.
• Career Fair enabled students to meet potential employers, e.g., major industry companies such as Rosatom, Inter RAO UES, MOEK, Mosenergo, MOESK State Atomic Energy Corporation, Lukoil-Energoseti, and Transneft Energy.

91% of the attendees were industry specialists. Many participants held business meetings, found partners, and generated new sales leads.
