24th International Exhibition Elektro 2015
TheExhibition for Electrical Equipment, Lighting Engineering and BuildingAutomation Elektro 2015, which ranfrom June 8 through 11 at Expocentre Fairgrounds, lived up to the expectations ofthe business community and to its reputation as the most important event forthe electrical industry in Russia and the CIS.
Thisyear the trade show has been granted the status of an official event held aspart of the International Year of Light and Light-Based Technologies proclaimedby UNESCO in 2015. The show was organized by Expocentre and supported by theRussian Ministry of Industry and Trade. It ran under the auspices of theRussian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
For forty years this project has occupied a rightful place on the listof Russia’s leading trade shows. Elekto is an internationally recognizedexhibition certified by UFI, the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry,and RUEF, the Russian Union of Exhibitions and Fairs.
On the total exhibition space of 17,356sq m participants showcased the latest achievements of the modernelectrical industry at the Electric Equipment, Energy Saving. Innovations,Lighting Engineering, Building Automation, and Cable. Wires, Fittings Salons.
Thetrade show brought together 337 exhibitors from 24 countries. Germany, Spain, China, Slovakia, and the CzechRepublic arranged their national pavilions.
The national pavilions were organized with thesupport of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic, theMinistry of Economy of the Slovak Republic, the China Council for the Promotionof International Trade (CCPIT), the Spanish Association of Electrical EquipmentManufacturers (AFME), and the German Electrical and Electronic Manufacturers’Association (ZVEI).
Twelve South Korean companies madetheir debut with a group stand supported by the Korea Electrical ManufacturersAssociation (KOEMA).
The Czech Day washeld at the Elektro 2015 Exhibition. Czech Republic Ambassador to Russia Vladimir Remek visited the Czech groupstand.
Along with the Czech andMoravian Electrical and Electronic Association, 11 companies participated inthe national pavilion. They showed visitors low power electric motors, modularelectronic devices and automation systems, overvoltage protection devices,reactive power meters and regulators, high quality low voltage equipment,industrial lighting fixtures, and other electrical novelties.
Minister of Industry and Tradeof the Czech Republic Jan Mladek pointed out that the Czech companies “consider their active participation inthe show as a matter of prestige”.
The Elektro 2015 exhibitors were such world’s electrical market playersas AkEl, EAE Elektrik, Eaton, Gersan, Wago, Phoenix Contact, Partex, Rittal,Klemsan, Lovato, OEZ, Riello, TP Elektrik, and others.
171 enterprisesand companies from many regions of the country presented Russia at the trade show. They demonstrated their scientificpotential and industrial capacity, got an opportunity to implement new projectsand improve business communication with foreign partners. Among them AvtomatikaPKF, Kaskad-Energoset, KLM Group, Korenevsky Plant of Low-Voltage Equipment,Kuntsevo-Electro, Morozov’s National Electrotechnical Company, Rosizolit, RyazanPlant of Cable Structures, Samara Cable Company, Sverdlovsk Works of CurrentTransformers, Tekfor, UMMC-OCM, Uralelectromed,ChEAZ, Stil Group, Ezois, ECT, Elektra, (Gorelektrostroy), Electroizolit, Elektromontazh,Eltechnika PO, Electroshield, Uniel, Yaroslavl Electrimachine Building Plant (Eldin),and many others.
Forthe first time Expocentre organized a special exposition Made in Russia where 20 companies showed their potential.
The organizers continued implementing the Expocentre for Counterfeit-Free Exhibitions project aimed to reduce the number of counterfeit products showcased atexhibitions.
The total number of professional visitors to Elektro 2015 amounted to 12,910.
The trade show was accompanied by a rich event program.
The conference on EnergyEfficient City: Infrastructure of the Future consisted of the round-tableon Green City: Green Construction, Infrastructure and Transport, the panelsession on Lighting Engineering: Energy Efficiency, Energy Services and NewTechnology Solutions, and the special session on Renewable Energy and Biofuel:Development Prospects under the Current Economic Conditions.
Rosseti and Expocentre held the presentation of the International Forum on Rugrids-Electro. Russian Grids. NewOpportunities, which will run on20-23 October 2015 at Expocentre Fairgrounds.
The Rugrids-Electro participants will present advanced developments andtechnologies as well as innovative ideas in the electrical engineering. TheForum will feature a large exposition of scientific and technological potentialin the electric power industry and a comprehensive program comprising a largenumber of discussions and workshops.
The 12thInternational Conference on Renewable and Small-Power Energy wasdedicated to new achievements in renewable energy resources (RER) andsmall-power energy in Russia and worldwide, developments, experience inconstruction and maintenance of RER, and small-power energy facilities.
Elektro2015 featured the 3rd Russian BusinessForum on Electrical Engineering. Business Strategy 2015. The participantsin the Forum were more than 100 general directors and heads of the enterprisesfrom 27 Russian cities and abroad. Not only recognized experts and consultants butalso leading representatives of the Russian electrical and power industryshared their experience. Among them IEK Group, Federal Grid Company of UnifiedEnergy System, EKF Electrotechnica, NPO Kaskad, Gradient Alpha ConsultingGroup, SEZ Ulyanovsk, Milandr, Imperia, Management Development Group Inc., andothers.
Theaward ceremony for the winners in the Electroreklama2015 Advertising Competition took place at Elektro 2015. The best promotionalitems of electrical companies and creative advertising solutions were chosen followingthe results of the competition.
TheElektro exhibition is intended mainly for professionals. Over 70% of exhibitorsparticipate in the trade show on a regular basis.
